I heard an adorable story of a young child calling the police to stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas. It made me wonder if this was true.
As a member of Generation X, I have fond memories of Joyful movies, finding Christmas gift ideas for loved ones, singing songs, and enjoying holiday cheer in our city. Frankly it didn’t matter if a person loved Jesus. Everyone seemed to have a sense of Kindness and Hope during the holiday season.
It was a much needed break from our busy lives.
Today it seems like the primary focus is black Friday deals. People are trading a happy Thanksgiving for 85% off on laptops. Everyone loves a good deal, but what happened to Peace on earth and good will toward men (and women)? What happened to celebrating good times with family and friends?
I thought black Friday is how the Grinch stole Christmas. According to the Balance, black Friday started in the 1960’s.
