The number, ‘Pi,’ is defined as the circumference to diameter ratio of a circle and is approximately equal to 3.14159. If you plug the numbers into your calculator, you’ll notice that 22 divided by 7 provides an infinite variety of answers. The digits continue indefinitely. That is why Pi is regarded as an approximation, and therefore the rationale for today.
