Sandcastle Day is observed on the first Saturday in August every year. This year, it falls on August 6. Sandcastle Day was created to remind us of the pleasure that a bit of sand, water, and sunlight can provide us in the summertime. This day is an excellent opportunity to take a few hours out of your day to recall how much fun it can be to build sandcastles at the beach with children (or even adults).
And a sandcastle doesn’t have to be the only thing you enjoy on this day! Either a picnic lunch, a barbecue dinner or desserts can be just what you need after a couple of hours of intense, fun construction work. Nothing tastes better than a meal or treats eaten out in the fresh air!
So what are you waiting for? Pack a lunch, Boo-Shaw desserts or snacks; grab a shovel and get down to the beach to enjoy some time including sun, fun, and amazing sand castles!
