We here at Boo-Shaw Bakery would like to encourage everyone to celebrate this amazing ‘holiday.’ November 19th is Family Volunteer Day!! Family Volunteer Day is celebrated annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Volunteering is an amazing way to give back to society and just feel good about doing it. Teach members of your family about Volunteering and sharing collaborative compassion and empathy with others. Let’s all make the world a better place together!
We found this terrific article suggesting a few ways to celebrate Family Volunteer Day at National Today:
- Learn about different cultures – Cultural immersion is an unmatched experience and can expand your horizons about the different cultures you will volunteer to help.
- Sign up for volunteering together – Sign up with your family to volunteer at your local center and do your bit in contributing to society.
- Donate resources – Donate whatever you can in terms of books, clothes, shoes, home items, or funds. These hand-me-downs can be useful to someone who cannot afford them and ease their financial burden.
However you choose to celebrate this day, enjoy extending your friendship and support to those in need.
