Did you know that today, January 20th is National Coffee Break Day?  That’s Right!!  What a fabulous day to take a break and have a delicious cup of coffee on your own for some peace, quiet and contemplation or with friends / co-workers for some nice social interaction.  Both sound like nice “Breaks!”  And what goes perfect with a nice cup of coffee you ask?  Well, Boo-Shaw Bakery Cookies, of course!!  So be sure to grab some coffee and cookies and enjoy the break today!

History of National Coffee Break Day

A coffee break, according to the official definition, is an activity in which a person takes a short break for rest and refreshments. However, the significance of a coffee break has developed over time and has become an important aspect of the workplace.   This is due to the fact that working hours and rules were fairly strict in the 1980s. In the 1880s, Americans would frequently take a break from work and relax with a cup of coffee.
