Memorial Day, each year on May 29 reminds many people of summer!! It makes some of us think of hot dogs, swimming pools, and cookies!! But this day means a lot more than the beginning of summer. This day should be remembered as a time to honor those who died while fighting in the U.S. Armed Forces.

King was an influential civil rights leader — best known for his work on racial equality and ending racial segregation in the United States.
